I was looking at the Fry’s ad the other day and saw that they had an electric grill on sale. The Hamilton Beach HealthSmart Grill was originally $59 and Fry’s had it on sale for $20. What a deal! Well, you guessed it, Chef Mookie just had to pick it up! :)

The first meal I cooked on it was OK, but I didn’t want to take pictures of it — it was just some chicken legs, steak, and some vegitables. My second meal that I cooked was something better.

I went to Trader Joe’s and picked up some ground buffalo and some salmon patties. I also had some shrimp at home. These made for a yummy meal. The shrimp were the highlight of the meal. Here’s how I made them:

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 table spoon sesame oil
  • 5 tablespoons Pappy’s Choice dry-rub
  • a good squeeze of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons minced ginger
  • a big splash of Tabasco sauce
  • a lot of shrimps (shelled up to the tail)

Combine all the ingredients — except the shrimps. Mix well, then pour into a Ziplock sandwich bag. Put shrimp in the bag with the sauce and let the shrimp marinade for 1 to 4 hours. Grill shrimp until they are done.

Yummy!
