Happy Birthday to me!
(Well, not yet. My birthday is the 22nd of June. I thought I’d celebrate a bit early!) Anyways, Eileen and I went to Bayside Watches at the Great Mall and got me a new watch. This is not one of the watches that will be a fad watch (like my two yellow G-Shocks), but this watch will last me for a few years. What kind of watch did I get? Read more to find out.
I picked up a Citizen Skyhawk Titanium Chronograph. I was originally looking at a Fossil Titanium watch, but that wasn’t as feature-full as I wanted. The Skyhawk impressed me with a feature that I wanted: World Clock. If I start travelling worldwide that will help, but for the time being having the watch be able to tell me the time for two timezones at once (analog + digital) is the best thing in the world
There are other features that I need to learn about too — in the Internet world it’s nice to have the UTC time shown on the face of a watch. The Skyhawk is also an Eco-Drive watch meaning that it can run without a battery change forever — the face of the watch is a solar panel and it charges the internal battery when exposed to light. Nice feature! (One of my yellow G-Shock watches is also solar powered too.) Anyhoo, this is a nice watch and I’ll be using it for a lifetime. It’s nice to finally have a nice time piece to look at.
