My new wallet showed up today. It’s a “burnt orange” Timbuk2 ID Wallet. This is my third item from Timbut2. I also have an orange iPod sleeve; and for my birthday two years ago, my sister got me an orange/silver medium Messenger bag that I use daily. I think that Timbuk2 bags are the coolest things around. Timbu2 used to only make messenger bags (and laptop bags), but they have been branching out lately. One nice thing is that Timbuk2 still keeps the manufacturing of their Custom Messenger Bags local (they are built here in San Francisco, CA). Their other stuff is made in China, but I still like that they continue to build their prized product in the USA.

This is awesome! I love my Timbuk2 bag, too, but the lump-of-a-wallet in my pocket has been bugging me. How many cards can you fit in the wallet?

Well, I have my driver’s license, two credit cards and my work badge (which is pretty thick — about two credit cards thick) in the new wallet. I have money on the outside clip. It is tight, but not too tight. I like it a lot so far — keeps me from shoving receipts into my wallet and making my wallet fat-as-a-lump :)
