I was thinking about this and bouncing it off my friends. I know this will vary for everyone and even then, it will vary with different moments in everyone’s lives…but: How do you measure or determine how successful you are in life?
- Is it the old adage of having a family, house, job and car?
- Is it having a lot of money?
- Is it having the fancy degrees from fancy universities?
- Is it having the fancy cars and beautiful women?
- Is it being famous?
- Is it the feeling that you are powerful?
- Is it a big job title?
- Is it just being able to wake up and say, “I’m happy”?
What do you think? How would you measure success? Do you think that you’re successful at this moment in your life?

Success is all in your head, as much as everything else in life. If you strive for too much or continually to strive for more and more, you will never be happy.
That’s why I always say that I am ‘content’ and not necc. happy w/ and in life. My “success” is living by my own rules, my principles and keeping everything else as simple as can be.

My only metric for success is happiness. If I’m happy, I’m successful.
