The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

July 7, 2016

A fitting end to the Christopher Nolan Batman series. The film was a bit slow to start and introduced too many characters too quickly. Also, the motivation of the antagonists were revealed a bit too late in the film to have made a difference.

The last half of the film was quite exciting and I enjoyed it immensely. Michael Caine was the emotional anchor for the film and he was also the strongest actor in the film. Many kudos to Caine for his exceptional performance as Alfred.

All-in-all, if you're a fan of Nolan's Batman series, you can't miss this ending -- and you have probably already seen the film.

SPOILERS

The Miranda reveal late in the film was quite predictable. While I know that movies are supposed to lead the audience to the end, I thought that Nolan didn't quite do the Miranda as the main antagonist right -- I saw her as the leader a mile away, but just couldn't figure out how she fit in.
