"Universal law is for lackeys. Context is for kings." Lorca
This episode was great in that it didn't spoon feed the viewer. It took its time showing instead of telling. It let us make assumptions that were based on Burnham's observations and then turned them upside down.
Captain Lorca is, even within this single episode, an interesting character and I am looking forward to seeing what this unconventional captain will do to win the war. I loved that the show showed a pet Tribble on his desk and then later showed his creature collection.
Michael Burnham is turning out to be quite and interesting character also. Her relation to Spock is surprising since Spock never mentioned an adopted sister. I am curious to see if they will bring on a young Spock to the show.
