Burnham, Tyler and Saru beam down to a planet named Pahvo to rig a crystal antenna on the surface to help decloak Klingon warships. They discover something on the planet that changes their plans. Admiral Cornwell gets a surprise visit.
This episode started with a smash-bang space battle that was quite good.
The bulk of this episode is spent with Burnham, Tyler and Saru on the planet. That section of the episode started out good, in a fashion that reminded me a lot of a TOS episode. But, it quickly got a bit boring and slow. And while at the end, Saru explains why he was acting the way he was, it just did not ring true.
