The Enterprise is turned around to help a cargo ship, Fortunate that has been attacked. The crew of the Fortunate is hiding something, they are reluctant to take the help that Archer has offered. Phlox takes care of the injured captain, so the crew of the Enterprise help out. Chaos ensues (A recurring theme so far).
The character Mayweather seems to be around only to present exposition about "boomer" life.
Archer is actually logical and reasonable in this episode.
I am surprised that the Enterprise production hasn't switched to using the transporter more. I would figure it costs a lot of money to render scenes with the shuttle pod.
