The Enterprise encounters a derelict ship floating inside the atmosphere of a gas giant. Reed deals with a cold. Hoshi finds her bravery and asks to go on the mission to the derelict ship. The ship contains Klingons that are all passed out, except for one. T'Pol believes that they should leave the ship as the ship is slowly losing altitude and she fears that when the Klingons awaken, they will kill the away team.
The Klingon that wakes steals the shuttle pod that the away team arrived on and takes off. The Enterprise captures the Klingon.
The away team tries to figure out how to fix the Klingon ship and save themselves before they are crushed by the atmosphere.
Hoshi freaks out (again). T'Pol helps her with her emotions.
All-in-all a forgettable episode.
In the future, why don't the phaser pistols have biometric protection?
