The Enterprise experiences strange anomaly which takes the warp drive offline, they also run into a derelict ship.
The Cochran equation, it's not constant here.
The Enterprise gets mugged by a bunch of aliens. They steal most everything and leave the Enterprise to rot.
The show has taken a much darken tone and the look of the show has followed suit.
