The Enterprise encounter a planet that has no atmosphere. An alien speaks with the crew via their thoughts and requests that The Enterprise enter orbit around the planet.
The energy (Sargon) is deep underneath the planet surface (100 miles).
Kirk's Enterprise has a crew compliment of around 430. He seems to always be surprised to see a crew member and not know their name.
Pure energy, matter without form.
William Shatner at his best.
The aliens are pure energy and need bodies to transfer to. They use Kirk's and want Spock's and a Red Shirts.
Leonard Nimoy is unhinged in this episode, it's brilliant.
The twist at the end was pretty good.
