While approaching Planet Omega IV, the Enterprise encounters another ship in orbit. The USS Exeter is the ship and it doesn't seem to be responding. Kirk, McCoy, Spock and an unassuming Red Shirt beam onboard to investigate. The find that only uniforms are left, and there are piles of what look like salt are in the uniforms.
Ron Tracy was the captain of the USS Exeter.
The water was sucked out of the crew and they were reduced to just the chemicals in their bodies.
The crew beam down and find some Chinese/Mongolian look fellows hanging out with Ron Tracy.
Prime directive.
This is another disease episode where McCoy has to work on the planet to a cure.
Another Red Shirt bites the dust.
The planet has some sort of immunization agent that lets people live for nearly ever. One man is over 400 years old, his father 1000 years old. Ron Tracy wants to learn about this and that is why he has taken Kirk and crew hostage.
Kirk got his ass handed to him by Tracy.

There are some crazy zooms in this episode.
Spock has some sort of Jedi mind trick.
There seems to be a lot of Alternate Earth episodes in this season.
