SS Beagal debris is found, it's been missing for six years. The Enterprise finds that there might be survivors on a planet. The SS Beagal was commanded by a man that Kirk knew from the academy. While watching a TV signal from the planet, they discover that one of the survivors is on the planet.
Another different Earth episode. The planet has TV and what looks like 20th Century Rome.
This episode's source must have been in pretty bad condition. Of al the episodes I'v seen on this enhance Blu-ray, this one has the most artifacts.
Rome never fell in this version of Earth.
How does Kirk make Captain's Log entries when he is not onboard the Enterprise?

There is something definitely different about how this second season is filmed. The look and feel of the series is noticeably different.
