The Enterprise is on a secret cloak and dagger mission to bring the ambassador of Troyius to meet someone from Elaan.
The costumes in this episode are quite fantastic.
The two planets have have weapons for mutual destruction. The Elaan woman is going to be marrying a Troyius man to bring peace between the two warring planets. The Elaan is quite arrogant. The ambassador of Troyius is here to teach her.

"Mr. Spock, the woman on your planet are logical. That's the only planet in this galaxy that can make this claim." -Kirk to Spock.
Kirk loves the Enterprise. LOL.
