A botanical plague is affecting a planet. The Enterprise is headed there to assist. They visit the planet and see Stratus, a city in the clouds. Upon beaming down to the planet, Kirk and Spock are captured.
We get some classic Star Trek TOS fighting, including the single handed chop maneuver.
A bit reminiscent of Eloi and Morlocks.
Spock gets his romantic episode apparently.
