Picked up the new Tom Clancy book "Red Rabbit" on Sunday night. Finished the thing Monday night after three reading sessions. Not a bad book and definitely better than the last couple of the Jack Ryan stories. By the way the Pope does get shot at the end of the book. I don't feel bad about saying this since if you did not remember the Pope getting shot then you should not be reading this book. Now my favorite is still "Red Storm Rising" and I accidentally bought a new copy a month ago when I saw one at a book store and noticed the wording on the cover "A Jack Ryan Novel". Now I remember buying and reading this book many many years ago and I did not remember Ryan in this story. I guess I missed something. Wrong. Just those Damn marketing people.
