Shanghai Knights (2003)

march 3, 2003

I saw Shanghai Knights last night and was pleasantly surprised. The first movie, Shanghai Noon was a good movie pairing up Jackie Chan with Owen Wilson. It had a lot of good action and was genuinely funny. Shanghai Knights surprised me because the sequel is better than the original. It's funnier, the fight scenes more inventive and thrilling, and the chemistry between Chan and Wilson stronger. The movie follows Chan's Chon Wang and Wilson's O'Bannon to England where they look for the killer of Wan's father. They meet up with Wang's sister, Lin (Fann Wong) in England and the trio go on their adventure with the help of an English inspector, Artie Doyle (Tom Fisher). Overall, I really enjoyed the movie and would recommend it.
