Well, I tried and I tried to install Red Hat Linux 9 on my Z505 but just could not get past the initial boot! How annoying. I am going to download RHL 8.0 soon and see if that one installs. The damn thing boots OK and then during install, when it loads its PC Card driver (since the Z505 can only boot to its own PC Card-based CD-ROM drive) it locks up the system. I remember having RHL 7.3 on the system before, and I looked around and there are stories of people putting 7.3 and 7.2 on their systems. I wonder what changed.
