Dumb Things That Spoil Your Privacy

august 26, 2003

There are just things that will spoil your privacy. For example, take this gentleman who thought that by taking the battery out of his BlackBerry RIM devices months ago would make all the contents of the device go away. Wrong. Or how about the people who edit Word documents that have tracking on? They forget that the stuff that they put in the document and erase will still exist. Or the best example of all are the people who donate their computers before they wipe the harddrives. In doing so they have left all sorts of information for the next person to take advantage of. In this digital age where information has all sorts of places to hide, I think we should all take care when we assume that information is gone, because most likely it is not. Just becareful with your information.
