My iBook got a new year cleaning today. I did a clean install of Mac OS X 10.3 Panther in November when I got that package. But, I figured I'd go ahead and back up my iBook and reinstall and make it all nice and clean today. Almost everything is done now. I got Mozilla Firebird and Microsoft Office X (my previous manager's brother worked at Microsoft and got the package via their software purchase program) installed. The Software Updates are processing right now. I am going to install Retrospect after the Software Updates are finished and then my iBook will be back to brand new. I wish I could do a new year cleaning on my desktop PC, but I have no idea how Windows XP Pro will react to the reinstall. Plus, unlike Mac OS X, the data files I have on the PC are scattered all over the place, not so easy to backup.
