So I was on my way home today when my wife called and she kept yelling at me, "I can't hear you!" At first I thought my Sidekick II had already kicked the bucket after a few days. I visited hiptop forums and found this thread which details a problem with the Sidekick II's echo/noise cancelling. Apparently, this is a well-known issue to T-Mobile and Danger. Both companies say that there will be an OTA (over-the-air) update soon to correct this issue. The people in the forum have been complaining about this for about two-and-a-half months and no one there is holding the breathes for a fix anytime soon. A bandaid for the situation is to use a wireless headset with the Sidekick II. I have my fingers crossed that T-Mobile and Danger will do the right thing and get that OTA update out as soon as possible.
