So Why Did You Put Our Troops In Danger's Way Again Mr. Bush?

january 12, 2005

Here it is, the news that we knew about a long time ago: There are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. There never was and there was never the ability to make them, the White House announced today.

The U.S. force that scoured Iraq (news - web sites) for weapons of mass destruction -- cited by President Bush (news - web sites) as justification for war -- has abandoned its long and fruitless hunt to assist in counter-insurgency efforts, U.S. officials said on Wednesday.
So, tell me again Mr. Bush, why did you pur our troops in harms way? Were you really that convinced that there were WMDs in Iraq? That there were stockpiles of this stuff there?
The findings are contrary to prewar assertions by the Bush administration, which stated in the run-up to the war that Saddam possessed stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, was actively reconstituting his nuclear arms program, and might provide weapons of mass destruction to terrorists to attack America.
