Classic

Why can't Hollywood produce movies like Raiders of the Lost Ark anymore? Now this is classic action and adventure. The writing by Lawrence Kasdan shows what dialogue should be like. Steven Spielberg is at his best directing this film. And this film just goes to show that George Lucas is a great inventor of stories, but should leave the script writing to others. And although the special effects aren't up to today's standards, they sure do look good! Also, the special effects were used sparingly and that is a great thing since it helps anchor the film in reality while still having a bit of supernatural to it. Oh, and who can forget the brilliant Indiana Jones score by John Willians? Why can't Hollywood produce movies like this anymore?
