So, my "new" VAIO is all restored. I got the memory today and put it in. Now the system runs really well (not that it didn't before, but with 512MB of RAM Windows XP runs much smoother than with only 256MB). So, the final configuration looks like: Pentium 3M 900Mhz, 512MB RAM and 80GB of HDD storage. Runs great.
