I have many problems with comment spammers in the past. I have tried lots of ways to fend this scum off. I was using user registration and 90-day limits on comments to try to stop comment spamming -- along with Spam Karma. If you haven't noticed, earlier this week I took off the user registration limiter. User registration was a pain for one time visitors who had something to say, so I think that by openning it up, it should help get more comments. Maybe. I also upped the number of days a post is open to commenting from 90 to 180 days. I hope that Spam Karma will be able to protect me.
