There are rumors that Google will be starting up it's own online payment service -- a direct threat to Ebay's PayPal service. Is it the death of Ebay and PayPal? Nah. I think people like Fool are hammiing up the move too much. Having used PayPal and seeing how tightly integrated it is with Ebay, I think that Google will have a hard time convincing people to go through the trouble to switch. Only time will tell though, but I don't think it will affect PayPal that much.
