Kill Someone = OK, A Little Sex and Nudity = Not OK

july 28, 2005

This is getting out of hand. Some woman is suing because, and I can't make this stuff up, "she bought the video game 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' for her 14-year-old grandson without knowing it contained hidden, sexually explicit scenes." This is pretty damned disturbing news. First, what the hell are you buying a GTA game for your 14-year-old grandson? Second, the game is based around the player killing, murdering, carjacking, and doing a laundry list of other crimes. So, I have brought this up before, but I'll bring it up again: Killing is OK for a 14-year-old but, Sex and some Nudity is not? What the hell are you thinking? I'd rather my kids see a little sex (if they can figure out how to patch the frigging game) than see people getting murdered. People have their priorities and sensibilities all fucked up nowadays. Get a grip people! And grandma: Don't buy your 14-year-old grandson a game where people go around killing each other. Don't be such a bad grandmother and then try to sue a company for your own stupidity. While we're talking about frivolous lawsuits, someone should bring a suit against the grandmother, Florence Cohen, 85, of New York, for corruption of a minor.
