That Steve is a funny guy. Although this was not a direct quote, it was what was recounted in a sworn declaration by a former Microsoft employee who left to work for Google. Schmidt was a top executive at Sun and Novell previous to going to Google -- and as we all know, Microsoft did crush those two companies quite well.
