In case you don't know, Yahoo! has launch its own podcast directory. It is aptly named Yahoo! Podcasts. So, why does the world need yet another podcast directory? I am not sure, but I do like the fact that Yahoo! decided to go open instead of closed with its directory. Where Apple has tied their podcast directory in with iTunes, Yahoo! Podcasts actually lets you subscribe (and listen) to podcasts using any player you have. You can use the Yahoo! Podcasts directory to find a podcast, then subscribe and listen in iTunes if that's your forte. Or, if you are a Yahoo! Music Engine user, you can use this plug-in and do the same thing in YME. Yahoo! continues to show that they aren't about walled-gardens.
