Neat! iPod Shuffle Syncs Now More Useful

october 12, 2005

I just popped my iPod Shuffle in for a sync and noticed that the timestamp for the sync is being used as the "Last Played" time. It used to be that the Last Played never got updated if the last play was done on a Shuffle -- that sucked for Smart Lists. Now, it's much better. Thanks Apple! And yes, I am sticking with my iPod Shuffle -- no nano, no video for me. The Shuffle, to my surprise is doing everything that I want it to do: Entertain me with music. It is cheap enough and sturdy enough that I feel comfortable just tossing it in my bag and going -- something that I wouldn't do with my 40GB iPod, which now just sits next to the entertainment center as a jukebox.
