Sheesh, this Halloween was dead (no pun intended)! Eileen passed out candy to about four trick-or-treaters. I passed out candy to about six. That is it. Wow! Next year, we will not get so much candy to pass out as it seems that kids really don't come around that much anymore. Eileen did notice that there were a lot of kids at the mall trick-or-treating from shop to shop. That does seem like a much safer choice than going door to door in a neighborhood. At my workplace there was a Halloween costume parade where parents could bring their kids in. That was really nice also (the kids got a free lunch ticket also!) I guess the whole trick-or-treating thing has really changed over the years.
