Good-bye N-Gage!

november 26, 2005

Nokia has quietly killed off the N-Gage portable "gaming" console / phone / organizer. Of course, this is to no surprise to the rest of the world (other than Nokia executives that thought the thing could sell 6 million units in 3 years). The N-Gage (and its younger brother N-Gage QD) sold a total of 2 million units in 3 years, which is pretty sad. We all have to agree that it was the terrible hardware than killed off this platfom: Taco-talking of the first version was probably the biggest killer. Not to mention the silly idea of creating a console with a screen that was tall and not wide, that really limits game play on so many levels. Good-bye N-Gage!
