Yes, I always bash on Google for being evil, but just this once: Google did good. When Big Brother US Government the Bush Administration went around to the different search engines asking them to turn in information about searches, Google refused. Yahoo! and MSN turned over the information.
The Bush Administration is asking for the information under the guise that they are trying to protect kids from pornography (hey isn't that the job of the parents?). It is overreaching for the Bush Administration to ask for this kind of information -- and I am glad that Google refused to turn it over. I am disappointed at Yahoo! and MSN for turning over the information without a fight.
