The Difference Between Microsoft and Apple

february 27, 2006

Apple announced that it will be having a conference tomorrow (28th) to announce products. What will it announce? I don't know for sure, but I do know this: It will be a product ready to be sold to the public. Microsoft, trying to upstage Apple, has announced that they too will have a conference tomorrow. What will they be announcing? An "innovative concept in development". (Many think it will be about Microsoft's Origami Project.) So, there you have the difference between Microsoft and Apple. Apple comes out and shows you the exciting new thing that you can have now. Microsoft comes out and shows you the exciting new thing that you may or may not get any time soon. Apple is about selling you a tangile product. Microsoft is about selling you on the idea of a product that hasn't been finished. And this is why tomorrow, when the two have their announcements, Microsoft will steal no thunder from Apple.
