I wiped off VectorLinux of the notebook and installed Ubuntu. Ubuntu is pretty nice, fast and stuff. But, uhm, very...brown. Anyways, I have FC5 burning onto CDs right now, so I am going to give Fedora Core another shot on the notebook. I grew up as a Red Hat guy, I run FC4 on my server, so it will be nice to try FC5 on the notebook. Last time I tried FC4 on the notebook, it was really slow and bloated. I hear it is not so bad this time around, so we'll see how it goes. If all goes well, I will soon upgrade the server to FC5. Even though I work in FreeBSD all day long, I am still a Linux guy at home.
