After testing the new frontpage for Yahoo! for a while, I finally get to tell you about it. Oh hell, go try it yourself. Visit:

That will activate the new frontpage for you. I like it a lot (and not just because I work for Yahoo! either). It is cleaner than the old one. It does break away from the look and feel of the original Yahoo! frontpage, but I think it is a good move. There are neat features like click-less access to weather, mail, messenger, radio and movies. News takes front and center stage, which makes the page more useful -- I like my.yahoo.com, but really only for that one news box at the top. This news feature easily replaces that functionality.
Is it cool enough for the MySpace crowd? Probably not. But, it is nice and cool enough for the rest of us. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.
