Apparently: 44.7% In a not-so-surprising turn, Google's share of the (inexplicably, heavily watched) search market dropped in July. And it was not some small drop either, it dropped a whole percentage point. So, has the inevitable finally happened? Has Google's search market topped off? Is 44.7% the top for Google in search? We'll see how it goes in the following months. The drop in share for Google was a big gain for Yahoo! (up to 28.8% from 28.5%), AOL (5.9% from 5.6%), and kind of surprisingly Ask (5.4% from 5.1%). The tech behemoth Microsoft's MSN saw no growth at all.
