Sigh. I was at the Gap shopping with Eileen last night and heard this tune being played. At first, I didn't recognize it. Then it started to sound fresh, alive, and familiar. And then...it hit me. It was "Forever Young" by Alphaville -- but remixed. Oi vey. Flashbacks to being a young one. Flashbacks to listening to "Forever Young" and "Big in Japan". Sigh...I'm old. The mix was damned good and I found it on iTunes: Forever Young (Hamel Album Mix) on the album "Future Retro". So, I found other remixed "classics" for a mix CD..."Need You Tonight" by INXS, "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode, "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure, and "Regret" by New Order. I'll have to dig up my CDs for some Erasure. Maybe throw in some Jesus Jones? Forever young? Or just getting old?
