Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Beta

september 7, 2006

Red Hat has released RHEL5 Beta for public testing. Here is the announcement. It looks like they have put Xen in there and are "particularly interested in your feedback on the Xen technology." Also, they have cut down the number of variants to just two: You'll still need to get an eval license (or if you're a paying customer, you can get a key through RHN). To get an eval license, visit here. The server image can be found here (SHA1). The client image can be found here (SHA1).
