Cars, Cribs and Sliders

Kids in the Crib
Eileen and I had quite a busy day today. Babies are apparently a lot of work. We had our biweekly doctor's appointment. Today's visit was with a Family Nurse Practitioner because our regular OBGYN was out at a conference today. Everything went well at the visit, the FNP even showed us where Baby Mookie's butt was. Ha. After the doctor's appointment we drove over to Magnussen's Lexus of Fremont to pick up our new Lexus RX350! Pictures of the new SUV are coming soon. We got a 2007 model, it's an all-wheel drive version, silver in color with tan leather and black leather "highlights". We got it with the Premium Plus package that includes things like voice-controlled nav system, Bluetooth connectivity, towing prep package, and other goodies. The car drives really nice and I love the technology package in it. And also, Magnussen's Lexus is a great dealer, they really bent over backwards to accommodate us and our situation. And we got a really good deal on the car. After we picked up the car, Eileen and I had lunch with my parents. We headed home after lunch and called up Babies R Us to schedule a pickup for our furniture. Babies R Us does not deliver, so we had bought furniture from them a few days ago and had them hold it until we could pick it up. I am pretty disappointed by some of the service at Babies R Us. But, they do have a good selection of baby stuff. We picked up the crib and slider/ottoman today. We have a dresser combo that is on order, so we could not pick that up. The SUV is really getting used for its "utility". I put together the crib and then we headed back to Babies R Us to pick up a matress and bedding set for the crib. There was not much time after that so we headed out for our final Birth Preparation class -- which was really a video then a full tour of the hospital. That was great to see the hospital. And when we came home, I worked on getting the slider/ottoman put together. Eileen went to work making the crib look nice. And now we are just blogging about it. What a hectic day. Here are some pictures of the nursery as it is now.
