I found this in my mail slot this morning. It is something to add to our badge holder. It is the new Mission Statement that came out recently:
To connect people to their passions, their communities, and the world's knowledge.
I really like this mission statement when compared to Google's. It shows a fundamental difference between the two companies. Google's is:
To organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful.
What is the difference? It is all in one word: People.
Google is all about the information. It is about algorithms.
Yahoo! is all about people.
It might not sound like a lot, but for me it does make a difference.
