february 13, 2007I was at the local Target picking up some formula and other assorted baby stuff. I got into line to pay and was behind a young, what looked to be freshman from SJSU. She put her cart full of crap on the conveyor belt and took a checkbook out from her purse. Then she stood there idly watching the person ring her up. When the person was done, he told her the total and she then started to look for a pen! Grr!!
- You're young. You're in college. There are these new fandangled things called CHECK CARDS that are really nice and spiffy -- and they get you in and out of line really fast. Try one, they are fabulous.
- If you're going to write a check FILL IT OUT AHEAD OF TIME.
- If you need a pen to fill out that check ahead of time: ASK FOR ONE WHEN YOU PULL OUT YOUR CHECKBOOK.
