Mr. Kong, Sir

I have never...ever...been referred to as "Mr. Kong" or "Sir" as much as I was this morning. I took the RX350 in for its first maintenance check at Magnussen's Lexus of Fremont and was treated like royalty.  I guess that is the difference between buying a Toyota and buying a Lexus.  It did make me feel way out of place though -- I was there in my cargo pants, t-shirt and zip-up sweatshirt. Joking aside, the service there was excellent.  Even after all the "Sirs" and "Mr. Kongs", I was treated well and the amenities were great.  I brought along my notebook so that I could take advantage of the free wifi while I waited.  That was a really good amenity for those who don't want to take the shuttle over to the nearby shopping center.  There's also free coffee and bottled water, a massage chair, lots of TVs and even a kids play area. The service was fast and friendly -- and I even got a free car wash. And of course, the first maintenance check is on-the-house with Lexus.  Nice.
