Recycle That PC

april 15, 2007

When I bought my notebook, there was an $8 recycling fee attached.  I thought I'd never use it, but I did today!  I noticed on a Fry's run yesterday that a company named ASL was taking in old PCs, TVs, VCRs, and other electronics to be recycled.  They were doing this yesterday and today.  So, this morning I ripped the harddrives out of four old PCs that were sitting in the garage and brought them down to the Brokaw Fry's where ASL was taking old equipment.  That was a pretty quick and easy way to get rid of four old PCs.  I got a flyer from the ASL guys and it looks like electronics recycling is always free, just bring the stuff to them 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday at their location: ASL, 924 Brennan Street, San Jose, 95131 - 877.279.0230. The accept this stuff for recycling:

Anyways, you are paying for this service ahead of time when you buy this stuff.  Might as well get your moneys worth.
