Only One

After years of having the three-out-at-a-time plan (with an old 15% Sony discount) on Netflix, I finally switched away from the plan to a one-out-at-a-time plan.  I just don't have enough time to watch as many movies as I used to.  And there aren't many hours in the week where I can watch movies as I like to -- in other words, with the 6.1 sound system booming.  Plus, if I want entertainment I have a few other options.

If I want HD entertainment, I can get it via satellite (Dish Network).  If I just want to watch a movie, the Roku box and Netflix Watch Instantly gives me movies.  The selection is not that bad, especially with Starz Play.  When I want to watch a Blu-ray movie, I can get it via a Netflix red envelope.  The stuff Jacob likes to watch -- Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, Pingu -- are all available via Watch Instantly.

So, while it was cool to have three red envelopes at home all the time, it really was not very "cost effective" for the family. The switch will save about $9 a month.
