Act of Valor (2012)

July 7, 2016

While the acting was not that great because these were real active duty Navy SEALs, it was good enough to make this film resonate. The story, while serviceable, was enough to carry the film to the end. And while the ending was a bit predictable, it was enough to make me forget about the predictability.

The film is wrapped in a blanket of patriotism and that was enough for me. This film would serve as a great recruitment film for the Navy -- yet, it has enough of everything to make it a very memorable and touching film.

The action sequences were fantastic, well-done, and hard-hitting. All of this is because of the SEALs themselves.

If you haven't seen the film, it's well-worth your time.
