EA and Eidos Say "No" To Microsoft's XBox Live

EA and Eidos say "no" to Microsoft's XBox Live. According to this Bloomberg article, EA and Eidos say that Microsoft offers no incentives for doing XBox Live, but that is not the main reason they are not making games for XBox Live. The main reason is that Microsoft holds all control over XBox Live (sound like a familiar Microsoft thing to do?) and EA and Eidos would like to have some control of it. Eidos Chief Executive Mike McGarvey says it best, "We're not supporting Xbox Live for the time being because we don't feel comfortable with Microsoft's business model -- they own the consumer."
