Looks like Cingular will be selling its California and Nevada network to T-Mobile. There is other spectrum related stuff and is all contingent on federal approvals on the Cingular/AT&T merger. Cingular will buy back minutes from T-Mobile on the California network. The transition should be transparent for everyone (T-Mobile and Cingular customers). This is good news for T-Mobile customers -- like me, who feared that if the partnership for California, Nevada, and New York ended, it would cause Cingular to cut off T-Mobile users in California and Nevada.
