I am currently reading Free Culture written by Lawrence Lessig. It is a pretty good read about how corporate copyrights (and greed) is stifling creativity. It is interesting that Lessig practices what he preaches. If you go to the Free Culture website, you can download a free copy of the book in PDF, text, or a few other formats to read. The text is covered under the Creative Commons license which for all intense purposes is like the GNU General Public License (GPL) used by the Open Source movement. I applaud Lessig for this and encourage you to download a copy of the book to read. Or if you are like me and hate to read long passages on screen, buy the book.
