So, I still have to watch more TV to get a good grip on Satellite, but one of the major reasons for going satellite was price. For the basic cable package (America's Top 60) on Dish Network it is $30 per month. For just about the same package from Comcast it will cost $46 a month for analog or $55 for digital. And in South San Jose, Comcast does not offer any DVR options. If the cable guy tells you that cable is not as expensive as satellite, try taking a look around first. Over at DirecTV their basic package is only $40 a month, still cheaper than Comcast.
